He will be my God

Jeremiah 31:33-34
“This is the agreement I will make with the people of Israel at that time,” says the Lord: “I will put my teachings in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God and they will be my people. People will no longer have to teach their neighbors and relatives to know the Lord, because all people will know me, from the least to the most important,” says the Lord. “I will forgive them for the wicked things they did, and I will not remember their sins anymore.”

God has made all his laws available by writing them in our hearts. Like a computer comes with predetermined programs, God has programmed us. We don’t have to rely on what men try to teach. The teachers in that day didn’t teach rightly. God promises we will know him despite what men teach.

I have been given the ability to know God, to discern if a man is teaching me rightly. I need to live in the freedom of forgiveness for the things I did in ignorance.

God, thank you for writing your truth on my heart. I love you and praise you for your forgiveness. Please help me to know you completely. Keep me under your wings of protection. Hide me from the enemy. Protect my mind from his schemes. I love you Lord! Amen.

  1. Aren’t those verses majestic? What a promise–forgiveness and then God just does not remember our sins. The God that knows-all forgets! ~Pamela
