hawk mountain, hiking, and rest

Spent the afternoon with Robert at hawk mountain bird sanctuary. In the fall, it’s one of the best places to see migrating birds. We went on a 4 hour hike. The weather was perfectly brisk, the hike perfectly exhausting.

I got to pour my heart out to my favorite older son about Africa, Mercy Ships, and the future. Being on that mountain, surrounded by the chilly silence, I felt peace.

What next? God knows. I’m keeping my eyes fixed on Him.
