So I got a new tattoo in Gainesville in April before I came back to the ship. I didn’t fully love it, so I didn’t really photograph it. It wasn’t a good experience. The guy who did it was super unfriendly and rude. I won’t tell you where I went. I can’t remember the name of the shop. It wasthat disappointing. It was the first time I didn’t tip an artist.
Today I went to a shop here in Las Palmas. I had the experience I’ve always expected. I had the tattoo fixed and touched up. Now I can say I fully love it. It’s like a brand new tattoo again. The artist’s name is Alba. She is born and raised here. She was super friendly. Her English is about as good as my Spanish, but we communicated without difficulty.
The tattoo is the African continent. At the top it has Proverbs 3:27. The blue heart is for the Canary Islands. The green heart is for Guinea. The black heart is for Ghana. The yellow heart is for Congo. The red heart is for Uganda. I thought hearts were good because of my love for the African people. 🙂
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to do it. Proverbs 3:27
