Who is Michelle?

I grew up going to church. I loved God and Jesus, but I was not born again. I didn’t understand how to be born again. I said the apostles creed as part of catechism and then I was allowed to take communion. The knowledge in my head never fully made it into my heart.

Then my dad died. I was 16 years old. That’s when I told God I didn’t want to have anything to do with Him ever again. I ran as far away from Him as I could possibly run. I spent the next 26 years of my life in the wilderness. I was married, divorced, had a child, had an abortion, had another child out of wedlock, depressed almost all the time, searching for love in all the wrong places, confusing lust with love, getting tattooed, getting drunk everyday for 5 years, going bankrupt, running, running, running.

I ran away to Florida in 2004. I had no friends, just my 2 boys. By 2005, all I wanted to be was dead. I figured if what the atheists said was true, that there is no point and we all just disappear into oblivion, I might as well be dead already.

Then my friend Karla told me how Jesus Christ changed everything. I was enthralled by her testimony. I wanted what she had, but I was afraid God wouldn’t want me. How could He ever want me again? I told Him to go away all those years ago! On November, 12 2005, I went to the alter and repented and surrendered my life to the Lord! Just like the father of the prodigal son, my God took me back! He saved me and continues to save me from myself everyday!

Now I am on the adventure of a lifetime as God leads me into missions to bring the love of Christ to people wherever I go. Through my skills as a nurse, I hope to open the door to the Gospel of Jesus Christ by providing for physical needs and then spiritual needs of the people God created and loves deeply!

I hope you’ll join me on this adventure. I hope you’ll ask yourself how you can play a part in God’s plan for the redemption of mankind through Jesus Christ.

His… Michelle
