Did you know in the UK the title of a surgeon is Mr or Mrs or Miss? It’s a tradition going all the way back to the days of Henry VIII. The medical doctors broke away from surgery because they considered themselves far more educated and civilized than the barbarian surgeon. If you needed a surgeon, you visited the barber shop. It wasn’t until the mid nineteenth century that they came together. To this day, they even get different degrees. Just thought you would like to know the fun cultural things I’m learning
