It is 11pm in Conakry. I’ve had a very full day starting with the programs meeting. Every Friday, we get to hear what different departments are working on. Today, we heard from the hospital chaplaincy. I was so encouraged to hear about people giving their lives to Jesus because they see Him in our service to them. One man came to the ship and specifically said he didn’t want to hear anything about Jesus. Several weeks later, he came to the chaplains and said he wants to be a Christian and to be baptized! Hearing these stories makes me want to be a better person. After the meeting, I traveled 100 steps to work. We spent the morning removing a tumor from the man above. Please pray for him as his case turned out to be more difficult than anticipated. The work day was long and full. After work, I got to go out for a friend’s birthday dinner with a bunch of my gateway gang. We went to the International Club of Conakry. It is owned and operated by a British-American ex military security guy. Beautiful place. I had a cheeseburger and fries! Yummy. Now I’m off to bed. Sweet dreams friends!
